Filmmaker Michael Shainblum’s The Wormhole is a trippy timelapse video that will sizzle your retinas in dazzling 4K definition.
American Michael Shainblum has made a name for himself with surreal timelapse videos that take a different look at cinematic art in fast motion. In his current film “The Wormhole” he has taken the sights of major cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Dubai, Doha and Shanghai in front of the lens and again let go completely out of the ordinary.
It appears that by mirroring the visuals in quadrants, Shainblum is able to maintain perfect symmetry giving an almost Wes Anderson feel to the video. The evolution of the shapes remain very pleasing to the eye throughout and the music does a great job of captivating you and adding to its overall quality.
The abstract urban mirror images act as moving images, like shots of a giant kaleidoscope, in 4K resolution. Please note the video comes with the following warning due to the flashing lights and quick transitions.
