Elegance, charm, luxury, and sophistication – these are only a few words used to describe the design language found across a Rolls-Royce. Distilling that essence into a futuristic concept is not an easy feat, but Sergey Dvornytskyy, makes this translation almost effortless.
Created by the talented designer Sergey Dvornytskyy, the Exterion definitely looks like something that could’ve come from the mind of Giles Taylor, head of design at Rolls-Royce with a resemblance to the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 creation that was signed off by him.
“Inspired by the wonderful world of Syd Mead illustrations and the latest trends in Rolls-Royce design,” he says, “I tried to create the ultimate luxury electric vehicle for the futuristic world of autonomous driving.”
Syd Mead’s images paint a retro-futuristic world, and the Exterion is intended to be able to slide right into one of them. So there’s plenty of the extravagant coachbuilding of Rolls-Royces past, as well as their proportions via the long bonnet and oversize wheels.
Sprinkling gorgeous elements of the Rolls-Royce brand across this concept, the Exterion is a crisp, sharp concept of the brand’s potential future Not to mention it makes the Sweptail look mundane.
