Hong Kong has just received Asia-Pacific region’s first Lamborghini Centenario, an ultra-rare 1 of 20 hypercar that was revealed at the 2016 Geneva auto show.
This highly-exclusive masterpiece has been delivered to its lucky owner in Hong Kong by Kingsway Cars Limited, the sole authorized distributor for Automobili Lamborghini in Hong Kong.
Marking the 100th anniversary of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s birth last year, Lamborghini dreamed up and crafted the Centenario, an extremely limited-edition hypercar. The Centenario is limited to just 20 Coupes and 20 Roadsters worldwide. It shares its underpinnings with the Aventador but the 6.5-liter V12 engine has received some changes to lift power to 770 hp, allowing the supercar to hit 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds while soaring to a top speed beyond 350 km/h.
The body of the Centenario is defined in a gloss carbon fibre. The front bonnet, scissor door panels, always reserved for V12 models, and roof line are fluent, aerodynamic and organic: the lower parts in matt carbon fibre are functional, technical and dedicated to aerodynamic superiority, including front splitter, side skirts, wheel arches and rear diffuser.
The car’s aerodynamic design includes an extending rear wing providing more downforce at high speeds. The introduction of rear-wheel steering provides increased agility and stability, and an innovative touchscreen provides connected infotainment, including internet browsing and Apple CarPlay.
The current pictures of Lamborghini Centenario are taken by Ron Alder W Photography for Lamborghini Hong Kong. All 40 Lamborghini Centenario have already been sold. The price? Just $1.9 million.
