The team at Macro Room never disappoints with their ultra detailed, incredibly close-up shots but everything becomes even more astounding when combined with some well-timed slow motion video. Using different colored inks in water, the team at the Macro Room has made a breathtaking short film that surpasses the use of CGI any day.
While it may appear like CGI, the video utilizes only practical effects. For example dragging a little rock through the mixture, it creates what appears to be a massive comet tearing through space. From miniature planets to city scapes, everything is bombarded with plumes of color. By getting up close with the ink and objects, we lose our frame of reference and begin to see the scenes in an entirely new way.
