Behold, Clear Coffee has arrived

There isn’t much of a downside to drinking fresh coffee, but if there is one thing we could do without, it’s the damage it can do to your teeth. Clear Coffee is the first colorless coffee drink in the world, and it promises to keep your pearly whites untarnished. It’s made from high-quality Arabica coffee beans and pure water and arrives without any artificial flavoring, preservatives, sugar, or other sweeteners. The result is a flavorful, ready-to-drink coffee that’s low in calories and has the caffeine boost you need, just stain free.

It doesn’t matter how you brew your coffee, there’s one constant: the color. Coffee has a range of familiar deeply rich brown hues that leave stains on your teeth after regular drinking for a long period of time. These literal stains are something that two Slovakian brothers could not bear any longer and have thusly developed a totally clear coffee.

The clear coffee, branded as CLR CFF, is a completely colorless liquid that is sold in a clear bottle. The result is a drink that looks like water, but is actually a caffeinated beverage made with arabica coffee beans. As the company describes it, there are no preservatives, stabilizers, sugars or sweeteners, and it carries just a few calories per serving, just like regular coffee, but because it’s clear it will not stain your teeth.

“The exact production process is a secret,” Nagy, one of the brothers, said. “We use only freshly roasted high quality Arabica beans which gives our product a very specific taste profile.” The CLR CFF website isn’t any less cryptic. “It is produced by methods which have never been used before.”

Right now CLR CFF is only available to residents of the United Kingdom. Shoppers in London can pick it up at a handful of retailers including Selfridges and Whole Foods where it retails for £5.99 for a two-pack or £14.99 for five bottles.
