There are few limits to what you can build with LEGO. The design studio nimuno has come up with a LEGO compatible tape that turns everyday surfaces into toy brick building bases, thus expanding the the possibilities even further.
Nimuno Loops come in rolls of red, blue, green, or gray plastic. Users can snip them into strips, just as they would with a regular roll of tape. After sticking the adhesive side to the surface of their choice, they can get to erecting gravity-defying creations with their LEGO bricks. The flexible strips can be cut and pulled around corners, into curves, and even onto other objects to turn them into custom LEGO bases.
After more than a year of research and development, Cape Town based designers Anine Kirsten and Max Basler came up with a prototype for the “nimuno loops”. “We at nimuno have spent our lives building and creating using LEGO,” they say. “As professional designers, we see the creative potential it offers people young and old.”
